The Engineering and Maintenance Department works behind the scenes to keep BVRMC warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We operate and maintain boilers, chillers, air handling equipment, and other mechanical systems, as well as our emergency generator, to keep patients, visitors, and staff comfortable and secure 24-hours per day each day of the year. In any given year we process nearly 2,000 work requests to repair broken things or to install new. We take great pride in our facility and with providing quick response and action to requests. Security is available 7 nights a week from 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. They provide escort service, assure heliport area is clear for helicopter landings, check all entrances/exits twice nightly as well as parking lots. They are always ready to assist nursing and ER when needed.
