
Patient Access is often the 1st impression the Patient gets of BVRMC and Services every department in the hospital. This department gathers initial demographics from the patient and maintains that information throughout their relationship with BVRMC; changing and updating as the patient does. Patient Access handles outgoing mail for the entire hospital, including patients sending and receiving mail here. Patient Access personally answers ALL phone calls coming in to the hospital with a human voice and is trained to handle every situation. Central Schedulers are also a part of Patient Access. They work as one toward making the patient’s entire visit seamless by setting up their appointment and providing demographics so the visit is started before the patient even arrives. The schedulers accommodate every service in the hospital and are either RN’s or LPN’s. This is a fairly new department to BVRMC and is quickly becoming an integral part of its success.
