The Oncology/Infusion Department is located in the Specialty Clinic. We have visiting physicians with many years of oncology experience from June E. Nylen Cancer Center who provide services at BVRMC. We have many years of nursing experience among our 12 nurses. The nurses are proficient in chemotherapy administration as well as infusions like blood products, IV antibiotics, port and central line care. We have a patient advocate who can assist patients with emotional support and financial needs. We have dietitians on the team to help patients with their diet as they are undergoing cancer treatment. The experience of our health secretaries helps assure that the scheduling and clinic flow goes well.
Specializations, Certifications, and Credentials:
Oncology staff is certified in chemotherapy administration. The care coordinators are OCN certified and many staff are members of the Oncology Nurse Society.
