The Surgery/Endoscopy department provides nursing care for same-day surgery, endoscopy and pain management patients on a daily basis. The department averages 15 scopes per week, 20 surgeries per week, and 5 pain management patients per week. Nurses who work in Endoscopy have all had special training. The equipment is equivalent to larger city hospitals. Each patient is called pre and post procedure to provide complete care. BVRMC is fortunate to have 3 highly qualified skilled physicians to provide endoscopy, 3 orthopedic surgeons, 2 podiatrists, 1 ophthalmologist, 1 general surgeon, 1 OB/GYN surgeon, 1 urologist, 1 pain management specialist and 1 ear, nose and throat specialist.
Specializations, Certifications, and Credentials:
All RN’s are certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
