BVRMC lab is accredited by The Joint Commission. Staff assess their competency yearly and participate in an aggressive quality assurance program designed to provide accurate patient test results. Lab staff are team players and are dedicated to improving the care and service they provide to their patients. The drawing area is designed to protect patient confidentiality. The Microbiology department is one of the largest of other comparable facilities in the region. BVRMC provides a variety of tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Banking, and Microbiology and assesses the test menu yearly to make sure they have the appropriate tests available for patients/physicians.

The laboratory testing staff are certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
