The Central Supply/Sterilization Department (CS) provides one of the most important services of BVRMC. All sterilizing of other departments instruments are done in CS. They are responsible for ordering, cleaning and sterilizing of all instruments used for surgery. Yearly the CS techs attend continuing education to learn about new techniques in Central Sterilization. Central Supply plays an integral part in helping to keep BVRMC’s infection rate below the benchmark. Every load is carefully monitored for proper sterilization.
