
The IS Department implements, troubleshoots, secures, and manages BVRMC’s software and hardware infrastructure. Our software environment includes EPIC, CPSI, Microsoft Windows and Office, VMWare, Avaya Phone System, Point of Sale, Accounting, Databases, and specialized medical applications. Our hardware infrastructure includes 580+ desktop and thin client computers, 97 printers, 137 wireless access points, 8 routers and 3 firewalls, 52 servers, 57 network switches, 222 Vocera badges. With their own areas of expertise, IS consists of a Director, a Network Administrator, a Systems Administrator, 2 Network/Desktop Technicians, and 1 Clinical Informatics Specialists. There are over 70 years of combined IT experience and 30+ years of nursing experience. Information Systems work hard to insure our Patient and Organizational data is secure and readily available so that BVRMC staff can effectively perform their duties for the benefit of our communities.

The Information System Department holds several industry certifications including Comp-TIA A+, Security+, Network+ along with having training in Microsoft servers , Linux operating system, cyber security, wireless infrastructure, and others.
